Joint pain
is an indicator of arthritic conditions
and its relief is the main goal. Arthritis causes joint inflammation, pain,
stiffness, softness and warm feelings in the joints. As the disease progresses,
the pain and swelling tend to increase. Arthritis also causes muscle stiffness and
ligaments which causes problems in flexibility and joint movement. Later on,
infection of synovial fluid, fragile cartilages, fat deposition and joint
deformity may develop depending on the type of arthritis.
Joint pain due to arthritis
can be acute and chronic - acute pain is
a sharp momentary pain that goes off on its own, while chronic pain stays on
for weeks, months or even a lifetime. The phase when the ailment is inactive
symptoms like joint pain will not be apparent or will be minimal, whilst when the
disease is active they can worsen to limit movement and cause a great deal of pain
and discomfort. The inactive period is termed remission and the active one is
called flare.
Herbs and exercises are the better ways of combating
arthritis joint pain. However exercises should not be performed without medical
opinion as some exercises can have harmful after-effects. There are a few herbs
that promote overall health and ease mobility. If you are suffering from
chronic arthritis, then herbal
solutions are the best way to
go.
